Initial Care at the Ayurveda Clinic – Available Around the Clock

Chief Ayurvedic doctor Dr. Thenkutti Mahesh de Silva at Hela Moksha Clinic, Sri Lanka

For many guests, an Ayurveda treatment program in Sri Lanka means taking time to relax, enjoying the tropical surroundings, and experiencing the ancient healing tradition in its authentic form. Yet, when traveling to a distant country, a very reasonable question often arises:

"What happens if a medical emergency occurs during my stay?"

At the Hela Moksha Ayurveda Clinic, we want you to fully enjoy your retreat amid palm trees and tropical sounds, completely at ease. That’s why we have established clear procedures to ensure your safety in case of an emergency—without compromising your peace and tranquility.

Ayurvedic Healing with Responsible Care

Our chief Ayurvedic physician not only guides you with personalized consultations and herbal therapies but is also medically trained and available at all times. Minor emergencies can be managed directly within our clinic.

To ensure you feel safe at all times, we have a fully equipped first-aid station on-site.

Collaboration with Modern Hospitals Nearby

Should further treatment become necessary, we work closely with hospitals in the region:

  • Asiri Central Hospital – a private hospital with international standards

  • New Philip Hospital – experienced in treating international patients

In case of an emergency, we immediately arrange transportation by ambulance—reliable, safe, and swift.

Personal Support – Culturally and Linguistically

We understand that language barriers or cultural differences can cause uncertainty, especially in a foreign country. That’s why we provide dedicated support:

  • On request, an English- or German-speaking interpreter will be available.

  • Our chief Ayurvedic physician remains by your side, assisting with formalities and ensuring that you feel understood and well cared for.

Costs & Travel Insurance

Treatments in private hospitals are chargeable. To help you relax completely, we recommend taking out travel insurance that covers medical emergencies and potential repatriation. This way, you are financially protected and can enjoy your Ayurveda retreat in Sri Lanka with peace of mind.

Relaxing in the Tropical Paradise – with Safety in the Background.

Your Ayurveda journey in Sri Lanka should be an experience full of tranquility, connection with nature, and cultural depth. Surrounded by tropical landscapes, accompanied by traditional Buddhist rituals and warm Sri Lankan hospitality, you can fully unwind—secure in the knowledge that in case of an emergency, you are in the best possible care.
