Our team
Dr. Thenkutti Dushmanda Mahesh de Silva
Medical Director & Director of Hela Moksha
"Every person already carries within them the knowledge of their own healing. My task is to accompany them attentively on this path."
Dr. Thenkutti is an experienced Ayurvedic physician from Sri Lanka and has been managing Hela Moksha Villa for over 15 years. He comes from an Ayurvedic tradition deeply rooted in the Malewana lineage – one of the most respected and authentic Ayurvedic lineages in Sri Lanka. Within this lineage, he has passed on Hela Wedakama for 19 generations, along with Buddhist ethics and spiritual practice. Dr. Thenkutti received his medical training at the Malewana Sri Gnanissara Ayurveda Medical College and works closely with the experts there to ensure the authentic and thorough transmission of the tradition.
His focus is on the treatment of chronic illnesses, psychosomatic complaints, and complementary therapies for cancer. The medicine is produced in a traditional medicine factory within the Buddhist temple – purely plant-based, handmade, and potent.
Hela medicine is not just about therapy, but about a profound understanding of the human being in its energetic, physical, and emotional interplay. Dr. Thenkutti brings this knowledge to every consultation – with calm clarity, extensive experience, and intuitive depth. Guests from all over the world appreciate his calm presence, medical expertise, and intuitive sense for individual healing processes .

Mag. Harnisch Manuela
Managing Director & holistic companion for international guests
" My task is to build a bridge – between the millennia-old Ayurvedic wisdom of Sri Lanka and your personal needs. I accompany you so that you experience not only physical cleansing, but also inner balance and clarity. "
As co-founder and Austrian manager of Hela Moksha, Manuela is responsible for international project management, quality assurance and personal support of our European guests – from the first inquiry to aftercare.
With over 20 years of experience in psychological counseling, coaching, social integration pedagogy, logotherapy according to Viktor Frankl, and energetic process facilitation, she brings in-depth expertise to the clinic for holistic healing processes. Her focus is on clients during periods of transition, family crises, burnout, or emotional exhaustion. Upon request, she provides on-site or online support for emotional processes during the Panchakarma treatment, ensuring guests experience emotional support and a sense of security.
Even if she isn't always physically present, she will personally support you via video call – before, during, and after your treatment. With a keen sense for integrative processes, cultural sensitivity, and genuine mindfulness, she creates the space for what truly matters: healing that touches you deeply.

We work hand in hand for your holistic balance – professionally sound, with a personal touch.
